Tax residency certificates

Taxpayers will now digitally issue tax residence certificates, through a new application of the AADE. The above certificates are issued for natural persons, legal persons or legal entities that maintain their tax residence in Greece. The procedure is carried out with an application submitted in the relevant application of the digital portal "myAADE" and when submitting the application the taxpayer declares responsibly that next year he will submit an income tax return for the current year as a tax resident of Greece, which will include any income acquired from abroad. 
The application may concern certificates both for the current year and for past years, provided that the taxpayer has submitted for the relevant years an income tax return as a tax resident of Greece, which includes any income acquired abroad, as well as relevant responsible declaration that said income of foreign origin has indeed been included in the income tax return. Finally, it is pointed out that any requests submitted without using the application are henceforth considered as not submitted and do not have any legal effect (Α.1052/2023).
